They have a bit of a mean look (deepset eyes) to them, but I think they're actually sweet.

We have those around here at times ..well just a little futher upriver about 5 miles they've been seen. We see them in Maine a lot..and when I was in Alaska, they were everywhere..They're magnificent!

Wow, that sounds amazing, the most common bird here are doves, blackbirds, sparrows and sometimes loads of crows. Some ravens too and a few but rarely seen hawks, but that's about it.

We are in the path of the migratory raptors..sometimes there are hawks and falcons and kites passing through. The eagles actually are making a comeback in our area after not being around for years from all the problems with DDT making their eggs soft back in the 50s..nice to see them recovering..once you get up to Maine, theyre around all on the coastal trees and such..you would absolutely LOVE Maine for the variety of wildlife

For some odd reason I always think Maine is one of the prettiest states. Odd because I've never been to the US and I only know them from tv.
